Project Two - Wendy's Toy Concepts

01) Decorate throw cushions with washable markers, grab some friends (or enemies), and have a pillow fight!
02) It's a picture frame with sand inside that will create the outline of an image once the sand settles. The top layer is the frame, and the middle layer is a plate with a stencil image in it so that the sand could pass between the frame and the box on the bottom.
03) Plush juggling clubs for the beginner jugglar. Comes in a set of three.
04) Build the frame of almost anything with this. It comes in a package with many more sticks and balls. The ends of the sticks are magnetic as are the balls, so that you can connect and detach them easily.
05) Tomato stress reliever filled with sand; perfect for the angry person. Ever been so aggravated that you just want to pull your hair out? Well save your strands, and throttle this instead.

  1. 1) This idea is very appealing to me, as an artsy person. It is very straightforward and easy to use. Problems that could arise would have to do with the toxicity of the markers if someone's face is touching it for hours while they sleep. It is a nice, simple idea that really inspires user creativity as they design this themselves.

    2) I am not really sure how this one works, but it sounds interesting because it is different than anything I've seen. Problems could arise in the sense that it seems like it doesn't take a lot of time to use, because once the stencil is in it's finished. It's good that you thought of sand, though, because it's not very common and would therefore draw people's attention to it.

    3) This toy seems interesting to me because its bringing a new light to a game that is not seen everyday. I like how it takes into account how hard juggling actually is to learn by making them plush. The only problem I could see with them is the feedback that the plush toys would give as opposed to the regular, hard ones. I can see the plush ones maybe bending as they are held or not spinning like a regular one would.

    4) I see this as a game that almost anyone could play, because it is so simple and really allows the user to create their own adventure, as simple or as complex as they want. I am a little confused at how they would connect and stay sturdy without pivoting like a ball in socket joint, but I like it as a new, fresh approach to an older toy. It really uses the tried, tested, and true concept that lego had.

    5) This toy is very funny and amusing to me. It fits very well into our intended demographic, as students tend to get very stressed out with school. Its actual use is limited, but it also looks very aesthetically pleasing, which would help draw the viewer's eye in if they were passing it in a store.
