WHAT IS EXPERIENCE DESIGN?

Experience design is the practice
of designing products, processes,
services, events, and environments
- each of which is a human
experience – with the specific focus
of the design activity being the
quality of the user experience. In
turn, the quality of any experience
is a combination of factors which
include individual or group needs,
desires, beliefs, knowledge, skills,
experiences, and perceptions.
Experience design combines
technological innovation with social
innovation, psychology, linguistics,
cognitive science, architecture and
environmental design, information
design, ethnography, brand
management, interaction design,
service design, storytelling and
heuristics.
